What can we do for you?
Any reputable clinic will go above and beyond to ensure you receive the best treatment and results possible.
That said, as we all know, things don’t always go to plan, so it is important to know what to do if you are not happy.
It’s probably best to start at the beginning and think about how to choose the best practitioner for you. Taking a bit of time at this stage is worth the effort and can save you a lot of heartache later.

Personal recommendation
It is a good idea to ask your practitioner what their policy is if things don’t go to plan. You should also check that the clinic or practitioner has medical liability insurance.
To break it down further, let’s look at the most common reasons that may lead you to be unhappy with your results: -
You just don’t like it
If you have had a good consultation beforehand, you will have been advised that initial swelling or bruising is normal but temporary.
It is always advisable to sit tight after a treatment as the final results will take up to 2 weeks to settle. It is absolutely fine however to speak to the clinic during this time for reassurance if you need it.
If after this time you really don’t like the results, talk to your injector. They should invite you in for a face to face review to discuss your concerns and advise on the next step.
They should offer you the option to dissolve the filler, although it is worth bearing in mind that this will usually be at your own cost if it is your choice.
Lumps and bumps can be very normal in the early weeks after treatment and will almost always settle in time. The same applies to asymmetry if there is some residual swelling but if these issues persist past the 2 week mark, speak to your injector in the first instance. Some gentle massage may be necessary or possibly some additional filler to correct asymmetry. Whilst every clinic has varying policies, there is generally no charge for these corrections.

Keep in touch
All medical aesthetic clinics will want to know if you have concerns and will respond promptly to you.
Many concerns are due to anxiety that things may have gone wrong or a lack of communication, so keeping each other in the loop is a good idea.
In the right hands, complications are very rare but if you do find yourself this position, never be afraid to voice your concerns.
They are there to help you and should have your wellbeing at the forefront of their mind.
