The delicate skin around our eyes is often the first place to show our age. As the skin here is thinner than anywhere else on our bodies, fine lines, wrinkles, hollows, and dark circles can become prominent. As such, this delicate area requires expert care and attention in order to keep your under eyes in tip-top condition, whilst helping to prevent signs of ageing.
The undereye area can be treated by a variety of method depending on your concerns. Treatment options range from the use of dermal fillers to mesotherapy and skin brightening peels that are specifically formulated for delicate under eye skin.
It is important that we understand your particular concerns in order to recommend the most appropriate option for you. Together, we can then formulate a personalised treatment plan that is suitable for your needs.
A specialised dermal filler is gently placed into undereye hollows or depressions, which can lead to the appearance of tiredness. Tear trough treatment restores volume loss without adding bulkiness. As a result, hollows become less pronounced, leaving a refreshed and smooth undereye.
Beautifeye -NCTF is the latest addition at LDR aesthetics. We have fallen in love with this amazing treatment and so have our clients. Treatment includes a specialist skin brightening peel, infusion of hyaluronic acid and vitamins, and is completed with a deeply hydrating and soothing eye mask.
A relatively new innovation in regenerative medicine. An injectable treatment harnessing the power of DNA technology which is skin food to stimulate collagen production in the extra cellular matrix. A powerful solution for dark circles, fine lines and undereye bags.
Course of 3 treatments 2 weeks apart, followed by a booster at 6-9 months.
Tear troughs are depressions in the skin below the eyes that give the appearance of dark circles. People often complain that they look tired, even after 8 hours of sleep. Tear troughs can be genetic, or due to the ageing process where volume is lost in the tiny fat pads under the skin.
Our preferred method when correcting tear troughs is by the use of a blunt tipped tube (cannula). Other than a very quick sting at the insertion point, there is little to no pain.
By using a cannula, the chance of bruising is minimal. You will be able to resume your usual activities immediately after.
You can expect to notice your results for at least 12 months. There is research to suggest that filler in this area can still be present a few years after treatment.
Dark circles may be caused by genetic factors, dehydration, lack of sleep, vitamin deficiency or even stress. In addition to this, as the skin under your eyes is thinner, little blood vessels can show through the skin, creating a darker colour.
