Sculptra is a powerful biostimulator containing an ingredient called poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Increased collagen production will naturally lift facial tissues leading to a fresh and youthful appearance of the skin. PLLA works its magic gently over a few months rather than instant plumping like some fillers. It's a popular injectable alternative to surgery for rejuvenating the face and neck, with results appearing gradually and lasting up to two years. Sculptra could be described as an investment pot for long term collagen production.
Radiesse works in a very similar way to Sculptra in that it supports the body’s ability to produce collagen using an ingredient called calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA ). Radiesse could be considered a hybrid filler because it offers immediate volume in addition to long term improvements. Radiesse is ideal for someone who prefers the “quick fix” approach but is also looking for long term collagen production. Radiesse can be used to contour the jawline, or hyper diluted to stimulate collagen synthesis in the face or neck without adding volume.
Just like Sculptra, this is dependant on the individual. More than one treatment may be required to achieve the desired results.
Radiesse is a water-based gel that carries calcium hydroxyapatite spheres. The calcium hydroxyapatite spheres are the key to collagen stimulation.
Immediately upon injection, Radiesse helps smooth out lines and wrinkles whilst adding immediate contour. The natural-looking results last a year or more in many patients.
