The art, science and availability of modern medical aesthetics has given rise to a greater awareness of our personal image, how we feel about ourselves and how we wish to be seen by others. In a world that is bombarded by images of 'perfection', there has been an increased interest in how we look and feel about ourselves.
Beauty, of course, means different things to different people and our ethos is to promote a positive and healthy body image. So, what exactly does beauty mean?
This will be different for everyone, but what is for certain is that inner smile that comes from knowing we have done something for ourselves, and that we look great as a result.
At LDR Aesthetics, physical and emotional wellbeing is at the core of what we do, therefore, we need to understand what beauty means for each person.
In aesthetic terms, beauty can be as simple as someone seeking more confidence in their appearance. Some people may describe this as vanity, so the question "is there anything wrong with this?" could be posed.
At LDR aesthetics, we really don’t feel that vanity is the driving force in seeking aesthetic services. The term 'vanity' (or as we like to call it, 'self-care') given to anyone keen to explore the world of nonsurgical enhancement could be compared to anything we do to ourselves, for example, visiting our hair stylist, having our teeth whitened, or anything else that makes us look and feel great.
Just imagine having a delicate lip treatment that perfectly showcases that new shade of lippy you just bought, having a treatment, (tweakment if you will), that balances your facial features in a natural way, gently restoring some of the features you enjoyed in your youth, or having a rejuvenating facial that leaves you with glowing, radiant skin...
These are all great examples of what cosmetic enhancement is all about. We have busy lives right! Jobs, families, pets. It can sometimes feel that we lose a little of ourselves at times. Making the time to care for yourself not only feels great but making ourselves a priority once in a while is something we all deserve.
It may be that there is an event coming up that requires you to look your best. In our experience, these treatments are met with smiles, and comments such as "Why didn’t I do this sooner?" The good news however is, it is never too late to begin investing in yourself, whether you are 18 or 80 (and beyond).
These treatments are for everyone who wishes to enhance their appearance, which in turn, increases inner confidence and a sense of wellbeing.
